What is robotic surgery?
Robotic surgery is a form of minimally invasive surgery that allows your surgeon to use an advanced robotic surgical system—which remains completely under their control 100 percent of the time—to perform surgery. This type of surgery requires the use of several small incisions, instead of one, long incision typically used in traditional surgery.
The robotic surgical system uses a magnified high-definition, 3D camera for optimal visualization. It is supplemented with special surgical tools, allowing your surgeon to bend and rotate instruments farther than the abilities of the human wrist.
